We (Immanuel Baptist Church) are so excited to announce that we are sending a group of Young Adults to Guatemala with CBM (Canadian Baptist Ministries) on August 26th-Sept 5th, 2025 after a 10 year hiatus. The team will be working with missionaries and families in various ways from helping schools, local communities and so much more. This experience will give opportunities for our team to grow in our faith as we share the gospel with others, experience a new culture and learn more leadership skills as we serve God.   

There is a lot to do as we prepare to love and serve God and others in this way. Each individual needs to fundraise $3550 CAD. We have made the commitment to put a portion of our own money into trip but need to fundraise the rest. 

So we are having a Book Sale on Sunday, January 26th & February 2nd at 11:15pm-12pm in the Fellowship Room. You won't want to miss out on the great books, come meet the team, and find out more on how to support this ministry through prayer and financially.

Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to join us for our Youth Skating Event happening on Saturday, January 11th at 3pm-5pm at Mel Lastman Square. Bring your ice skates, warm clothes as we skate circles and enjoy some winter fun.

Young Adults are encouraged to join other Young Adults Groups from across North York for a night of worship and community on Thursday, January 2nd at 7pm-10pm. We will be meeting at People's Church (374 Sheppard Ave East). Join us for some beautiful moments of worship, reflection and prayer. There is snacks available afterwards. Also feel free to join us for a short hangout afterwards at McDonalds on Sheppard and Leslie. We hope to see you there.

Youth in grades 5-8 are invited to join us on Sundays, December 8th at 10:30am-11:30am in the Youth Room. We are starting a new series on the Names of Jesus: Everlasting Father. We are looking forward to learning more about God and the Bible together. 

We would love to see you and your family on Tuesday, December 24th at 7pm-8pm for our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. We would love to see you there as we sing Christmas carols together at our candle light service.

All are welcomed to join us Sunday, December 22nd at 10am-11:30am for our Intergenerational Service. This is a kid and family friendly service where all ages are engaged in creative ways in worship and in the sermon. We would love to see you and your family there.

Everyone of all ages are invited and welcomed to join us for our Intergen Christmas Movie happening Saturday, December 21st at 1pm-3pm at Immanuel. We will be watching Dr. Suess' The Grinch as we enjoy some popcorn, hot chocolate, and other treats. We hope to see you there.

South of 99 Seniors Ministry is inviting all Seniors to a Intergenerational Luncheon happening Sunday, December 15th, at 12pm-2:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. This will be a time of celebration of the Christmas Season and an event where seniors and youth will have an opportunity to fellowship together.

Tickets are on sale after the Worship Service in the library. Ticket cost $15.00.

It is a great opportunity for kids to showcase their creativity, have fun and so much more. We would love to see your kids there.

Everyone is invited to join us for our Carol Sing on Saturday, December 14th at 2-4pm for a musical experience. Our choir will be performing a special presentation: The King Has Come! There will also be refreshments afterwards. We hope to see you there.

We will be also making Christmas stockings and hampers for families in need for an organisation called A Fresh Start Project.

Immanuel’s annual Service of Remembrance will be happening Sunday, December 1st at 2:30pm-4pm. If you have lost a loved one this year and would like to pay a tribute to them, please let the Church Office and our Bereavement Coordinator know.
