Returning to Virtual Services Nov. 15
Well, this is not the news that I wanted to share today but it is the state in which we find ourselves as the second wave of COVID is sweeping across Canada.
On November 10th, Mayor John Tory and Dr. Eileen De Villa made an urgent appeal for everyone to limit social contact to family members who live with you in the same home (or essential services, like grocery or medical shopping).
Here is a link to the City’s COVID briefing: https://youtube.com/watch?v=py2UgAJdgcw&feature=share
In his comments, Mayor John Tory specifically said he was asking churches to switch to virtual services in order to slow the spread of COVID. In consultation with our health team and church Council, we have decided to suspend in person worship services immediately.
We encourage everyone to follow the city’s recommendations. The most important thing is to stay home as much as possible. Please be a part of the solution as we all do our part to stop the spread of this virus.
Thank you.
